Head Women's Wrestling Coach Dustin Baynes has been selected to attend the National Wrestling Coaches Association's Coaching Leadership Academy. Baynes received a full scholarship to attend the academy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on August 1 and 2nd. He is one of forty-five coaches from all collegiate divisions to be selected.
The academy aims to facilitate discussions on ‘best practices' for protecting and strengthening intercollegiate wrestling programs. The NWCA also helps coaches better align their programs with educational values.
"I am honored to be selected by the NWCA to attend this academy," stated Coach Baynes. "I am excited to learn to learn from some of the best college coaches in the country. This opportunity will help me to better myself as a coach, so I can better serve our wrestling program and Waldorf College."
Baynes has been at the helm of the women's wrestling program since its inaugural season in 2010-11.
