The Waldorf women's basketball fell to AIB College 62-54 Wednesday night in Des Moines. The Warriors gained control of the game early, leading the majority of the period. At halftime the Waldorf was up 26-21.
The Eagles chipped away at the Warrior's lead and regained the lead inside the 15 minute-mark. From that point, AIB took the momentum. Waldorf worked to get back within 2 points, but they were unable to take the lead. AIB gained the victory by a final of 62-54.
Ellie Markwardt (SO-Pewaukee, WI) and Aubrey Draves (SR-Andover, MN) led Waldorf's offense with each collecting 11 points. BreeAnn Hageman (JR-Ossian, IA) added 9 points and 14 rebounds.
With the loss, the Warriors are now 4-12 overall and 2-4 in the MCC. There next game will be Saturday at 1:00PM in Davenport against St. Ambrose University.
