
The Waldorf women's basketball gained a conference victory Thursday night over Viterbo University 63-58. The first half remained close, with the greatest margin being Viterbo's 6 point lead at the 8:41 mark. Waldorf would go into halftime trailing 27-26.
Viterbo found their offensive rhythm after the break and gathered a 13 point lead with 7:17 left to play. The Warriors worked their way back into the game late and gained their first lead of the half with 29 seconds remaining. They would hold on for the win, 63-58.
Waldorf spread out their offensive efforts on the night. Aubrey Draves (SR-Andover, MN), BreeAnn Hageman (JR-Ossian, IA), and Ellie Markwardt (SO-Pewaukee, WI) each collected 10 points. Joni Lillo (JR-St. Clair, MN) and Allie Davison (SR-Napa, CA) both added 9 points.
With the win, the Warriors move to 6-15 overall and 4-7 in the MCC. Their next game will be on Saturday at 1PM against Ashford University in Clinton.
