Hayenga and Macias go for the block
The Warriors opened up conference play this weekend at home taking on York College. Waldorf came out strong, controlling the match from the start. The Warriors fed off the roaring home crowd to win in straight sets 25-21, 25-14, 25-16.

Klarissa Larsen (Fr-Lamberton, MN), Meagan Macias (So-Hacienda Heights, CA) and Courtney Palmer (So-Rochester, MN) each recorded six kills.

"This was a great team effort today, it was huge to begin our MCAC schedule with a win," stated head coach Paul Meyer. "Everyone stepped up and made some key plays."

"Our defense made York work for every point," continued Coach Meyer. The Warriors held York to a 0.99 hitting percentage, while Waldorf hit 0.186.

"The offense was very balanced and York had a hard time keying on any single hitter. I am also very pleased with the aggressiveness of our service game," added Meyer. Waldorf recorded five aces with only one error.

Waldorf moves to 5-8 overall and begins 1-0 in MCAC play. They will take on #20 Bellevue University on Tuesday at 6:30PM in Forest City.
