The Warrior volleyball team traveled to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Invitational over the weekend. They opened play on Friday afternoon against Gustavus Adolphus College. The match would go into four sets, but Gustavus Adolphus would take the match (25-23, 22-25, 25-22, 25-15). Freshman Klarissa Larsen (Lamberton, MN) paced the Warriors with 11 kills and Jennifer Henke (Sr-Rosemount, MN) collected 23 digs.

In their second match of the afternoon, the Warriors took on UW-Steven's Point. The Pointers would win in straight sets (25-22, 25-10, 25-15). Larsen led Waldorf's offensive efforts with six kills and Henke had 15 digs to anchor the defense.

Waldorf continued play on Saturday beginning with #10 St. Thomas University. Waldorf fell to the Tommies in straight sets (25-13, 25-8, 25-23). Megan Macias (So-Hacienda Heights, CA), Abby Buehler (Fr-Dodge Center, MN), and Klarissa Larsen each had five kills in the match.

The Warriors' final match of the tournament would be a battle with a solid UW-River Falls squad. River Falls entered the match with a 9-2 record on the season. Waldorf would go the distance with the Falcons, forcing a decisive fifth set. River Falls would win 3-2 (25-18, 23-25, 22-25, 22-11, 15-13). Macias led with 13 kills and Larsen tallied 12.

After weekend play, the Warriors are now 5-14 overall and remain 1-1 in MCAC play. Their next game will be a conference matchup against Central Christian College on Friday night.
