Loydd in earlier action

Waldorf traveled to Ellendale, North Dakota to take on Trinity Bible College in non-conference action on Saturday. The Warriors' special teams unit would lead the way, beginning on the opening kickoff. James Loydd (Jr-Lake Wales, FL) returned the kick 96 yards for the first score. Brennan Stack (Jr-Spring Hill, FL) tacked on the extra point to put the Warriors up 7-0, just 15 seconds into the game.

Stacy Long (Jr-South San Jose, CA) reeled in a 47 yard pass from Samuel Fisk (Jr-Chewelah, WA) for the Warriors' second touchdown with 11:32 remaining in the first quarter. Stack added the point-after for the 14-0 advantage.

In the Warriors third score of the first quarter, Fisk would complete a 15 yard touchdown pass to Lashawn Chapman (So-Troy, NY). The extra point from Stack gave them the 21-0 lead.

The second quarter of play would be busy for both teams as the Warriors added 34 points and Trinity Bible would put up 21 points. The quarter began with an 11 yard pass from Fisk to Adam Isaacson (Jr-Clive, IA) for the touchdown and an extra point by Stack. Following a touchdown by the Lions, Tevin Padgett (Jr-Pensacola, FL) returned the kickoff 87 yards for the score.

Fisk capped-off a 45 yard drive with a one-yard rushing touchdown. The Lions would respond with another touchdown of their own, but on the ensuing kickoff James Loydd answered the call again. He took the kick 74 yards for another score. Following the blocked extra point, the Warriors held the 48-14 lead.

With 1:37 remaining in the half the Trinity Bible's Josh Conner recovered a Waldorf fumble and returned it 59 yards for the touchdown to narrow the margin to 48-21. The Warriors responded with a solid drive to close the half. Marshall Williams (So-Columbia, SC) rushed 30 yards for the touchdown and Stack completed the extra-point attempt. At halftime the Warriors led 55-21.

Early in the third quarter, Waldorf's defense added to the score, as Kenny Brown (So-Ft. Lauderdale, FL) returned an interception 43 yards for the score. Stack's extra-point gave the Warriors the 62-21 advantage.

Their second touchdown of the third quarter was an 8 yard touchdown pass from backup quarterback, Oscar Robles (Jr-Covina, CA) to Stacy Long. With the point-after Waldorf held a commanding 69-21 lead.

Trinity Bible added two touchdowns early in the fourth quarter to make it 69-35. Clifton Davenport (Jr-Memphis, TN) added another Warrior touchdown on a 2 yard run with 7:08 remaining. This would be the final score of the afternoon as Waldorf took the 76-35 victory.

Samuel Fisk was 12-17 for 211 yards and a rushing touchdown. Stacy Long led the receivers with three catches for 67 yards.

Defensively, Ebben Mignott (Sr-Pensacola, FL) led the way with four solo tackles and 7 assisted tackles.

The Warriors racked up 242 yards in four kickoff returns.

The Warriors improve to 3-1 on the season. They will host the University of St. Francis next weekend for their homecoming game. Kickoff is slated for 2:30PM.
