MITCHELL, S.D. – The Waldorf College women's soccer team came up short in a 3-1 loss to Dakota Wesleyan University on Saturday.
Megan Johnson scored a pair of goals to propel the Tigers (5-4) to their fifth straight win.
Maranda Ehrenfried struck first for Dakota Wesleyan and Johnson's first goal of the contest proved to be the game-winner.
Waldorf outshot the Tigers 18-16 and owned a 10-7 edge in shots on goal.
Senior Kaylee Carson, sophomores Melanie Chandler and Charlotte Madrid each finished with one shot on frame. Chandler attempted four shots while Carson and Madrid closed out the match with two attempts apiece.
Sophomore Taylor Reeves recorded four saves in the loss.
Dropping the past three road contests, the Warriors (2-8) look to put one in the win column on Sunday as they face Presentation College (2-7) in a 12 p.m. matchup at Aberdeen, S.D.
