Head Coach - 1st Season
Ryan Flickinger begins his first season as Head Baseball Coach at Waldorf College.

Flickinger graduated from Denver High School in Denver, Iowa, before attending Waldorf College where he pitched for the Warrior Baseball team and finished his college career as a Student Coach.

He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Wellness Management at Waldorf in 2006. After graduation, Flickinger was employed by Covenant Wellness Center in Waterloo, Iowa, where he worked with many athletes in the Cedar Valley area as a Personal Trainer. Flickinger returned to the Waldorf Baseball coaching staff in 2007, when he began working as an Admissions Counselor at Waldorf College.

The last four seasons Coach Flickinger had been the pitching coach and Head JV coach for the Warrior Baseball Team. During that time he has seen continued growth and development in the pitching side of the game. In 2011, Flickinger coached a pitching staff that had one First Team All-Conference pitcher, a staff ERA of 4.32 on the season (3rd best in the MCC), least amount of hits allowed at 293 and an opponent batting average of .254, also lowest in the league.

"Pitching and defense has been a mainstay in this program since I have been a coach at Waldorf College." Flickinger stated. "I welcome the opportunity to be the Head Coach at my Alma Mater and want to continue to build this college into a premier NAIA baseball institution."

Ryan is married to his wife, Heather, who is an Instructor at North Iowa Area Community College in the Wellness Department. Heather is also an Online Instructor at Waldorf College.

Assistant Coach - 1st Season
Joe Tautges is in his 1st season as the Assistant Baseball Coach at Waldorf College.

Tautges graduated from Brainerd High School in 2002.  After high school, Tautges attended Waldorf College where he earned an Associate's Degree before transferring to the University of Evansville in 2004.  In 2005, Tautges transferred back to Waldorf where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Foundations of Education in 2007.  Tautges played baseball at Waldorf and at the University of Evansville and was an assistant coach under former Head Coach Chad Gassman in 2007.

While playing, Tautges was an All-Conference player in 2004 and led the conference in Doubles.  He also led his team in Average, Doubles, RBI's and Homeruns.

In 2007, Tautges moved back to Brainerd where he coached the Brainerd Legion Baseball Team, leading them to the District Tournament.

Tautges is married to his wife, Katie, who works at Health Source Chiropractic as a Rehab Specialist in Brainerd.
