The Waldorf men's basketball team advanced to the MCC Tournament Semi-Finals with a road win over Clarke University 76-70 on Wednesday night.  Waldorf entered the matchup as the #5 seed and Clarke was the #4 seed.  Waldorf was 2-0 against Clarke in regular season play, but both games were tight affairs.

The Waldorf men's basketball team entered Saturday's home contest seeking a win and the right to host a first-round post-season matchup on Wednesday night, but a tough Grand View University squad would stand in the way.  The Vikings would pull away early gaining a 14 point advantage inside 13 minutes left in the half.  The Warriors forced turnovers late in the period and were able to convert offensive opportunities and closed out the half trailing by only 4 points, 42-38.

Men's Basketball - Fri, Feb 17, 2012

Garner, Iowa--Members of the Waldorf men's basketball team spent Friday morning with some of their biggest fans at Garner-Hayfield Elementary School.  The Warriors volunteered their time assisting a third grade classroom study math and reading.  Some read stories to the class, while others quizzed the students with math flashcards.  Warriors participating in the day's volunteer efforts included: Jeremy Gerardo (SR-Montebello, CA), Eddie Taylor-Boyce (SR-Green Bay, WI), Justin Nguyen (SR-Santa Ana, CA) and Gunsby DeJohnett (SO-Milwaukee, WI).

Men's Basketball - Wed, Feb 15, 2012

The men's basketball team collected a tough road-win over Clarke University Wednesday 82-77. The Warriors jumped out to the early lead 13-4 at the 14:20 mark. Clarke came back to tie the game at 24 with 2:51 to play, but Waldorf took the advantage into halftime 32-28.

Men's Basketball - Sun, Feb 12, 2012

The Warriors lost a tough matchup to #18 St. Ambrose University on Saturday 101-83.  Waldorf had a strong first half shooting 56.7% from the field including 55.6% from 3-point range.  They were also able to hold the Fighting Bees to 41.9% shooting.  St. Ambrose would not gain its first advantage of the game until the 5:30 mark, when they went up 29-28.  Waldorf would regain the lead going into halftime 43-39.
