FOREST CITY – Friday's win entered an accolade into the record books for the Waldorf College men's basketball team.

An 83-75 decision over Central Christian College (17-12) marked the 16th win of the season for the Warriors (16-8), setting a Waldorf school record for wins in a season since joining the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

CONWAY, Ark. – The Waldorf College men's basketball team is buying in to defensive intensity. For the second straight night, it worked to perfection for the Warriors in an 86-53 victory over Central Baptist College on Saturday.

"Defensively, we really got after them," Waldorf coach Nigel Jenkins said. "We made it very, very tough for them to get anything easy."

POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. – Playing lockdown defense from start to finish keyed the Waldorf College men's basketball team to a 70-63 win over College of the Ozarks on Friday.

"I talked to our guys about making a commitment on the defensive end," Waldorf coach Nigel Jenkins said. "I thought they made a commitment and made it really tough for those guys."

The Waldorf College women's and men's basketball teams hit the hardwood to join forces with the American Cancer Society (ACS) as the Warriors host their annual Coaches vs. Cancer games against York College on Saturday, Feb. 22.

The Waldorf women face the Panthers at 3 p.m. and the Warrior men follow with their contest at 5 p.m. at Hanson Fieldhouse.

BELLEVUE, Neb. – The Waldorf men's basketball team aimed to climb atop the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference (MCAC) standings on Tuesday.

The Warriors (13-8) were denied the league's top spot in a 108-62 loss to Bellevue University (21-5).
