Waldorf University Warriors Shine at Grinnell’s Dick Young Invitational

Grinell, IA- The Waldorf University Warriors' Women's Outdoor Track and Field team achieved three personal bests during the Grinnell's Dick Young Invitational on April 12, 2025, in Grinnell, Iowa.

The meet saw standout performances from several Warriors athletes. Alexa Torres sprinted into the university's record books with a time of 13.36 seconds in the 100m dash, marking the 8th fastest time ever recorded by a Warrior. In the field events, Emma Logeman hurled the hammer to a distance of 33.23 meters, securing the 6th position on the all-time list, while Faith Haughwout's shot put of 11.06 meters is now the 2nd best in school history. 

The event was highlighted by multiple athletes setting personal records, underscoring the team's growth and competitive spirit. The Warriors are looking to carry this momentum into their next competition at Northwestern's Red Raider Open scheduled for April 17, 2025, in Orange City, Iowa.
