Women's Cross Country Barchenger Named Daktronics Scholar-Athlete
KANSAS CITY, MO – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2022 Daktronics NAIA Women's Cross Country Scholar-Athletes.
The Waldorf women's cross country team had Mindy Barchenger (SR/Bismark, ND) named as NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete for her efforts on the course and in the classroom.
"I'm proud of Mindy for not only striving for excellence on the course, but in the classroom as well," stated Head Coach Janna Langrell.
The 2022 list features 609 student-athletes that achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average at their institution. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sprot and have attended one full year at said institution.
