McKown Earns All-American Honors at NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships
Gainesville, Fla.
Eliza McKown was the sole Warrior who competed at the NAIA indoor track and field championships this past weekend, after qualifying for the 800 meter run earlier this season. She participated in the 800 meter heat races on Friday, where she ran a new personal best, 2:12.51. This time placed her second in her heat, qualifying her for the 800 meter final on Saturday.
On Saturday, McKown ran a time of 2:13.351. This time placed McKown 6th in the nation, earning her All-American honors.
This ends a great indoor track and field season for McKown, with the All-American also earning two new school records (800 meter, 1 mile), and being crowned a GPAC champion in the 800 meter run.
