Women's Cross Country Back in Action at Augustana Twilight

 SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Warriors opened up their season this weekend with a 5,000 meter race at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. 

In a field of three hundred nineteen runners, Eliza McKown (JR) was Waldorf's first finisher with a time of 19:37.4. Quincy Griffis (FR) was next to cross the line with a time of 20:43.0, she was followed closely by Marissa O'Connor (JR) finishing with a time of 20:47.1 and rounding out the Warriors was Brandi Peck (JR) in 20:51.6. 

The Warriors were able to get a strong start early in the season as Head Coach Janna Langrell mentioned. "I am happy with how we opened up. Each of our athletes ran well and I feel we are in a good spot early in the season. I am excited to see how they continue to grow and progress over the next couple of months as we continue to build for the conference meet". 

The Waldorf Warriors will be back in action this weekend on Saturday, September 13th at the NIACC Trent Smith Invitational in Mason City, Ia.
