Women's CC run at Seminole Valley Stampede
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA- The Warriors ran at Seminole Valley Park on October 4th in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and had some incredible individual performances in a 6k run.
In a field of one hundred and seventy one runners, Marissa O'Connor came up first for Waldorf with a time of 26:02.1 making that the fastest time run by a Waldorf Athlete on this course at this distance. Marissa holds the school record for this course and is also her season best.
Next to cross the line for Waldorf was Brandi Peck with a time of 26:02.1 making that the second fastest time run by a Waldorf Athlete on this course and distance as well. Brandi second All-Time on this course and it's also a liftime best for Brandi as she shaved 2:03 seconds off her previous personal best.
Following Brandi, was Quincy Griffis with a time of 26:24.1 which is the fastest time run by a Waldorf Freshman. She is now the top All-Time Freshman at this course followed by Madeline Bean with the second fastest time run by a Waldorf Freshman on this course at this distance with a time of 30:06.1.
Coach Jana Langrell expressed her satisfaction with their performances. "I am extremely happy with how our athletes ran this weekend. It was a bit warmer than expected for this time of year, but the course and competition were great which helped pull some of our athletes to some great times. We are nearing the end of a pretty tough training block, so I know they will only continue to run better from here," mentioned Coach Jana Langrell.
Next, the Waldorf Warriors are scheduled to compete next at the Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic in Ashland, Nebraska on October 25th, 2025.
