Waldorf Esports Makes Playoffs in Overwatch 2
FOREST CITY, Iowa. - The Waldorf Warriors made an impact throughout their season in Overwatch 2, landing them a position in the playoffs. The Warriors were chosen as the #4 seed, picked to battle the #1 seed, Mount Aloysius College, on March 27th.
The first map was a strong showing for the 1 seed as they went up 1-0. Waldorf took control of map 2 and got themselves onto the board, making it an even 1-1. The 3rd map proved difficult for Waldorf to find their footing after the first fight, and they ended up losing another map, making the series 2-1 in Mount Aloysius' favor. Map 4 was a back-and-forth, a lost fight followed by a won fight throughout the entire match. In the end, Waldorf could not win the final point and lost the final game of the series.
It was a great showing by our Warriors against the 1 seed, but a tragic end to the season. Our Warriors will continue to work hard and bring home a trophy next year.
