Warriors to host 2015 NCHL Tournament
The Northern Collegiate Hockey League (NCHL) has announced that it has accepted and granted Waldorf College's bid to host its inaugural postseason tournament in 2015 at the Albert Lea City Arena in Albert Lea, Minn.
The tournament is scheduled for Feb. 13-15 and will feature the top six finishers in the final regular-season NCHL standings in a six-team, single-elimination tournament. The tournament's format consists of two conference quarterfinal matchups on Friday, Feb. 13; two semifinal games and the consolation game on Saturday, Feb. 14 and the NCHL Championship Game on Sunday, Feb. 15.
Seven schools located throughout the Midwest comprise the NCHL. The league begins its inaugural season of play this September. Conference members include Michigan Tech University, Northern Michigan University, Robert Morris (Ill.) University, St. Mary's (Minn.) University, the University of Minnesota-Duluth, the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh and Waldorf.
