Waldorf University Warriors in 2nd round of GPAC Duals at Morningside University

SIOUX CITY, Iowa- On November 25, 2025, the Waldorf University Warriors wrestling team competed in a dual meet against the 3rd in conference, Concordia (Neb.) at Morningside University. Despite their efforts, the Warriors faced a challenging match, ending with a score of Waldorf 16, Concordia 32.

The meet featured several notable performances from the Warriors. Malachi Aispuro led with a significant victory, winning by an 11-3 major. Teammates Shiwoko Shiwoko and Noah Avila also contributed positively, each securing wins through decisions. Highlighting the event, Dalton Thorson achieved a victory by fall, recording a pin at 2:40, which was one of the match's key moments. Securing a lead in the duals overall score. Things took a turn after a few pins were given up allowing Concordia to eventually come back and come out on top. 

The Warriors are set to return to the mat on December 6, 2025, traveling to Crete, Nebraska for their next event. The team looks forward to regrouping and aiming for a better outcome in the upcoming competitions.
