YANKTON, SD- The Waldorf Women's Soccer team traveled to Yankton, South Dakota for a conference match up against Mount Marty on Sunday, October 26th 2025. The Warriors were unable to obtain the win which resulted in a 3-0 loss.
In the first half, the Warriors held the Lancers' attack for the first 20 mins until they scored their first goal of the match off a corner kick. The Warriors held Mount Marty's offensive pressure with a score of 1-0 at half. Going into the second half, minute 60:36 the Lancers slipped another goal in off a cross into the area. The Warriors held their ground and showed good defensive moment up until the last 2 seconds on the clock when Mount Marty scored making it a 3-0 game in favor of the Lancers. Waldorf's keeper Mia Ramirez had a total of 20 saves with a total of 40 shots.
Looking ahead, the Waldorf Warriors are set to play Briar Cliff at 7:30pm on Wednesday, October 29th at home.
