Waldorf University Women's Soccer Faces Setback in Conference Clash Against Doane
CRETE, Nebraska. In a conference soccer match on September 27, 2025, Waldorf University Women's Soccer was outplayed by the Doane (NE) Tigers in Crete, Neb. The match culminated in a 5-1 victory for the Doane Tigers.
The first half was dominated by Doane, who showcased their offensive prowess by scoring four goals, giving the Tigers a solid lead. Waldorf University, represented by their goalie Mia Ramirez, faced a barrage of attempts, with Ramirez securing 7 saves throughout the match. The halftime score stood starkly at 4-0 in favor of Doane.
In the second half, Waldorf's resilience shone through when Olivia Cross broke through Doane's defense to score the Warriors' sole goal. However, Doane responded firmly, maintaining their lead and securing the match with a final goal by Savannah Franzoy, thereby setting the final score at 5-1.
Looking forward, the Waldorf Women's Soccer Warriors will take to the field again on October 1, 2025, against the Dordt Defenders in Sioux Center, IA.
