Women's Wrestling at Waldorf Open
The Waldorf University Women's Wrestling Warriors demonstrated skill and determination at their recent tournament held on November 8, 2025, in FOREST CITY, Iowa -. The day was marked by notable individual performances and strategic victories, showcasing the strength of the Warriors in a challenging competitive environment.
Mackenzie Gilbert and Abigail Atibagos both recorded a 1-2 performance, with Atibagos securing one of her wins by Fall, highlighting her technical proficiency. Amanda Durrant made a strong showing as well, going 2-2, with victories coming impressively by Fall and Tech Fall. Nicole Martens stunned the crowd with a rapid victory, winning a match by Fall in just 27 seconds, despite ending with a 1-2 record. Olivia Burciaga's formidable performance was capped by a fall in the first period.
Further showcasing the team's prowess, Renee Miguel and Skylar Bruno each added to the team's points tally by also going 1-2. In one of the tournament's key highlights, Alanis Serrano-Rois placed 6th overall, showing record of 2-3 to end the day, including a victory by Fall. Laura Merino pushed further, achieving a 3-2 record with two tech falls and a decision, standing out as a formidable competitor throughout the event.
