Waldorf University Men's Basketball Fall in Home Opener Against Mount Mercy
FOREST CITY, Iowa. The Waldorf University Warriors endured a challenging game against the Mount Mercy Mustangs in a non-conference basketball game on October 28, 2025, in Forest City, Iowa. Despite strong individual performances, the Warriors were unable to secure a win, falling 110-85 to the Mustangs.
In the first half, the Warriors managed to take an early lead with a jumper from Krys Watley. Sharpshooting from Nick Graves, who tallied 24 points including several vital three-pointers, kept Waldorf competitive. However, Mount Mercy, led by Jaxson Fried's scoring run, pulled ahead to a 55-50 lead by halftime.
The second half saw Mount Mercy extend their lead, up by as much as 27 points. The game concluded with Mount Mercy comfortably leading, cementing a strong performance over the Warriors.
