Waldorf Men's Basketball Comes Up Short at (16)Northwestern
ORANGE CITY, Iowa. In their latest conference basketball game held at the Bultman Center on December 10, 2025, the Waldorf University Warriors, the men's team, were defeated by the (16)Northwestern Red Raiders with a final score of 96-82. This loss against their rivals puts the Warriors at a current record of 3-9 overall, and 0-5 in the conference.
The game began with the Red Raiders taking an early lead, as Kaleb Booth of Northwestern scored the initial points with a layup, followed by a significant three-pointer from Jalen Langsy that helped them gain momentum. Northwestern dominated the first half, ending with a substantial lead of 47-31, highlighted by Jesse Van Kalsbeek's stellar performance including a fast-break dunk that roused the crowd.
In the second half, the Warriors, led by Conner Aldridge who scored a team-high 19 points, made attempts to narrow the gap. Despite their efforts, including key plays and defensive contributions from Cornelius Porter Jr. and Krys Watley, they could not overcome the strategic play of Northwestern. The Red Raiders maintained their control throughout the game, with Van Kalsbeek and Langsy securing the win.
