Waldorf Men's Basketball Outlasted by Midland Despite 30 Point Performance
FREMONT, Nebraska. The Waldorf University Warriors faced a tough loss in their recent basketball conference game against the Midland Warriors at the Wikert Event Center in Fremont, Nebraska on December 6, 2025. Despite an individual season high performance, Waldorf couldn't secure the win, ending the game at 72-87 in favor of Midland.
Early in the game, Waldorf showed promise with Conner Aldridge hitting a 3-pointer to take an initial lead. His outstanding effort, scoring a total of 30 points, highlighted the offensive attempts by Waldorf. Through the first period, Waldorf managed to keep the score tight, but Midland gradually built a four-point lead by the end of the half, with the scoreboard reading 47-43.
As the second half unfolded, Midland's players started to pull away significantly, bolstered by effective three-point shooting and strong defense, causing multiple turnovers. Meanwhile, Foley Omar, in his season debut, snagged crucial rebounds and scored 12 points, was a highlight. Despite these efforts, Midland extended their lead by the close of the game.
The game concluded with Midland maintaining a substantial lead, showcasing a balanced attack with key contributions from their players, Butch Lordeus and Jake Orr. Waldorf, on the other hand, heads back with a season record of 3 wins and 8 losses, looking to improve their standing.
