Waldorf Men's Basketball Falls to Graceland in Non-Conference Tilt
FOREST CITY, Iowa. In a hard-fought basketball clash in Forest City, Iowa, the Waldorf University Warriors were overtaken by the Graceland Yellowjackets, concluding with a 79-68 victory for Graceland on November 11, 2025. Despite a strong first half, the Warriors could not maintain their lead in the second half.
The game kicked off with Waldorf seizing an early advantage, propelled by Krys Watley's opening jumper followed by a dynamic three-pointer from Cohen Aldridge, assisted by Cartier Parr. The team built a commendable 13-point lead with Aldridge contributing significantly including a fast-break layup. By the end of the first half, Waldorf was in the lead with a score of 42-33.
However, the momentum shifted in the second half as Graceland started to close the gap quickly. Runey Hernandez and Tyson Shaw of Graceland played pivotal roles, consistently scoring layups that chipped away at Waldorf's lead. Graceland's Max Black took control with a crucial three-pointer, overturning the deficit into an 11-point lead for Graceland by the end of the game, which wrapped up with a score of Graceland 79, Waldorf 68.
Top performers for Waldorf included Nick Graves with 17 points, Cohen Aldridge with 13 points and three steals, and Emmanuel Ferguson who led with 8 rebounds.
