Kidd Named as NSAA Defender of the Week
BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) announced its second edition of volleyball players of the week honors on Monday. Kaylee Kidd was named as Defender of the Week.
"I'm really honored and surprised, and thankful to my teammates and coaches for pushing me to extend by defensive range even more this season," said Kidd.
Kidd (SR/Roscoe, IL) recorded double-digit digs in all four matches for the Warriors. She had a season high of 26 digs in a three-set win over Bethany (KS) at the Peru State triangular on Saturday. In the four matches, Kidd tallied 74 digs, averaging 5.3 per set.
On Tuesday, at the Clarke (IA) triangular, Kidd recorded her 1,000th career dig.
"I am so pleased that Kaylee was honored by the conference. She has worked hard to elevate her game in the past years," Head Coach Bri Ebenhoe stated. "Kaylee has been selfless in wanting feedback and to be pushed. I am incredibly proud of her."
The Warriors are 4-0 and travel to William Penn for a two-day tournament starting on Friday, September 1st at 1 pm against Graceland.
