Same Name, New Look: Bolstorff Field to receive new artificial turf in Summer 2026
FOREST CITY, Iowa – Today marks the beginning of a big project happening on Bolstorff Field in the summer of 2026. While students are away for the break, Waldorf University and Forest City Schools with the help of ISG, Inc. and Midwest FieldTurf are installing a new artificial turf field. With a projected finish date of August 1, our athletes will be practicing and competing on a brand-new turf field, starting in the fall of 2026.
Bolstorff Field, named after legendary head football coach A. David Bolstorff in 1995, was originally a grass field after the football team relocated their practice and game facility from Pammel Park to its current location. In 2011, the first artificial turf field was installed.
"It is important to us that we make little improvements and updates to our athletic facilities each year," said Director of Athletics, Chad Gassman. "Sometimes those projects are a little (or a lot) bigger, and we are excited to see the progress throughout the summer."
To ensure the safety of the workers and community, Bolstorff Field and Beebe Track will be closed and unavailable to non-essential personnel from Tuesday, May 19 through the completion of the project. The Waldorf Athletic Department thanks you for your cooperation.
