Men's soccer drops GPAC game to Dordt
SIOUX CENTER, Iowa - The Waldorf men's soccer team traveled to Dordt for a GPAC matchup in Sioux Center Wednesday night. Dordt built a halftime lead and pulled away to defeat the Warriors, 5-1.
Dordt's Marco Laenen opened the scoring with a goal in the 16th minute. He added a second goal early in the second half. The Defenders tallied two goals in the first half and three more in the second. Waldorf put more offensive pressure on in the second half. Vinzent Krieger converted with his first goal of the season with an unassisted strike in the 75th minute. Osvaldo Andrade made 10 saves in net for Waldorf.
Waldorf (0-6-1, 0-2 in GPAC) plays next at Doane Saturday.
