Warriors End Regular Season with Loss against Blue Hawks

FOREST CITY, Iowa – The Waldorf softball team returned for a conference doubleheader against Dickinson State. Due to weather conditions, the teams ended up playing one game and the Warriors lost 3-21.
The Blue Hawks started the game off with scoring six runs.
In the bottom of the 1st, Brooke Hickey (SO/Adel, IA) got an RBI double with Paige Pierson (SO/Cambridge, IA) scoring.
The Blue Hawks more than doubled their score in the 2nd inning by adding eight runs and then another run in the 3rd.
Kaela Eslinger (JR/Macksburg, IA) came up with an RBI double getting Alyah Abrahamson (FR/Browerville, MN) getting the second run.
In the 4th inning, the Blue Hawks extended the lead with four runs.
Hickey came up with another RBI single with Gabby Bierly (FR/Eagan, MN) scoring.
The Blue Hawks ended the game with a two-run RBI double and won 21-3.
Next up for the Warriors is the NSAA conference tournament in Dickinson, North Dakota starting on Thursday, May 4th.
