Warriors Win Big Against College of St. Mary, Dial Breaks a Waldorf Record
OMAHA, Neb. – Waldorf Women's Basketball headed to College of St. Mary to play the Flames on Saturday. The Warriors controlled the game from the beginning, gaining the lead early and holding it for the entire game. They continued increasing the lead while stopping the Flames from scoring on their end, finishing with a 72-49 win.
Brooke Dial and Edosa Ogbemudia had back-to-back games with double-doubles with Dial's 22 points and 14 rebounds and Ogbemudia's 20 points and 13 rebounds. Alyah Abrahamson had 6 assists. Additionally, Dial broke Waldorf's 4-year single season scoring record. Sarah Swanson has held this record since the 2008-2009 season with 467 points. After today's game, Dial has 475 points in just 22 games with four more regular season games to set the record even higher.
Coach Shawn Chaffin said, "Very pleased with our performance today. We played together and took care of the basketball and controlled the boards."
