Warriors Celebrate Senior Night Vs #1 Dordt - Finish Season
Forest City, Iowa
The Waldorf women's basketball season came to an end on Saturday afternoon, ending Coach Stryker's first season as head coach for the Warriors. The season came to a close facing the #1 team in the country, the Dordt Defenders. The Defenders came out very strong defensively, not allowing a Warrior score for the first four and a half minutes of game time. Senior guard Paris Southern finally broke the seal for the Warriors, as her driving layup at the 5:10 mark in the first quarter put Waldorf's first two points on the board. The Defenders held the Warriors to just 12 points and forcing 18 turnovers in the first half. The Offense got going a little better for the Warriors in the second half but the Defenders ran away with the game, pulling to a 99-38 final.
Jariah Riley led the Warriors in scoring with 11 points. Senior forward Cloey Dmytruk finished with 7 points, 3 steals, 2 rebounds, 2 assists. Senior guard Paris Southern finished with 2 points and 2 rebounds.
This year's seniors have been an instrumental part of laying the groundwork for the culture that the program will continue to build moving forward.
Paris Southern appeared in 36 games as a Warrior. She recorded 31 points, 34 rebounds, 9 steals in her Waldorf career. Coach Stryker said "It has been enjoyable to get to know P as a person this year and rewarding to see her grow throughout the last year. Her effort was a constant that we could always depend on seeing daily, and I value her willingness to come back this year and be part of laying the foundation that the program can build on in the coming years. I look forward to seeing what she goes on to accomplish in life."
Cloey Dmytruk ends her career with two four year school records--single game points scored (39) against College of Saint Mary's on January 3rd, 2026, and single game 3 pointers made (8) against Northwestern on December 10th, 2025. Dmytruk appeared in 95 games over four years for the Warriors. She also finished her career with 601 points, 71 made 3s, 281 Rebounds, 65 assists, 38 blocks, and 32 steals. Coach Stryker said "I really appreciate the willingness that Cloey has shown this year to embrace laying the foundation for this program. Cloey's collegiate basketball journey has been very interesting for her, and I feel privileged to be her coach for her final year. I appreciate the work Cloey put in leading into her senior year not knowing what the plan would be. It's been a joy to watch her make the most of her opportunity and really grow in her senior year. I look forward to seeing what she goes on to do and the impact she will make."
