Second Quarter Stretch Dooms the Warriors

Waldorf came out the gates hot, shooting 50% from both the field and 3pt line to take a 21-13 lead into the first quarter break. However, 7 turnovers and just 3-12 shooting in the second period, combined with 58.8% shooting from the Midland Warriors gave Midland a 37-27 lead going into half. Waldorf would fight back throughout the second half narrowing the deficit to 5 several different times before Midland pulled away in the final minutes.
Charlotte Mills led Waldorf in scoring with 25 points while also grabbing 8 rebounds 4 assists and 2 steals. Jariah Riley scored 11.
The Warriors will return to GPAC play on Wednesday, December 10th against the Northwestern Red Raiders in Orange City.
