Warriors Defeated by Dakota Wesleyan Tigers
MITCHELL, S.D. - The Waldorf University Warriors faced a challenging opponent in the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers on Saturday. The Warriors were unable to clinch a victory with a final score of 33-14.
The game started with promise for Waldorf as they quickly put points on the board through a stunning 75-yard pass from Chris Walter to Anthony Tucker in the first quarter. However, Dakota Wesleyan responded effectively, securing a 27-7 lead by halftime. The Warriors scored again in the fourth quarter with a 20-yard pass from Chris Walter to Luke Valdez, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Tigers.
Key contributions came from several players. Anthony Tucker shined with 26 rushing yards, 92 receiving yards, and a touchdown. Luke Valdez added another touchdown for the team. On the defensive end, Christian Gerot and Luke Beyer were notable, with Gerot achieving 5 tackles and Beyer contributing 10 tackles and 1 sack. Keyshun Stanley also added 2 tackles and 1 sack to his defensive record.
Looking ahead, the Warriors have another bye week and return home on Saturday, November 8 to play the Briar Cliff University Chargers at 1pm.
