McCubbin and Gerot Receive GPAC All-Conference Honors

McCubbin and Gerot Receive GPAC All-Conference Honors

FOREST CITY, Iowa – On Wednesday, November 19, 2025, the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) released the 2025 All-Conference Football teams. Joseph McCubbin earned Second Team Special Teams, and Christian Gerot received Honorable Mention recognition.

Gerot, a senior defensive back from Columbus Junction, Iowa, played in all 10 games this season and finished with 66 tackles for an average of 6.6 tackles per game.

Interim Head Coach Tom Clarey said, "Christian is a young man that has persevered through many storms in his time at Waldorf. He started his collegiate career as a running back out of high school and later transitioned to play safety. Last season, Christian injured his knee and missed his entire season. To see him come back, be a team captain, and earn this honor is a testament to his character and will to succeed. While his on-field accolades are great, I'm most proud of what he has done for this program off the field. He is a leader of men, and we are fortunate to have him coming back as a Strength Staff GA next year!"

McCubbin, a junior wide receiver and long snapper from Tonopah, Arizona, played in 5 games this season.

"Joe is another phenomenal young man," Coach Clarey said. "We were blessed to have him join our program this fall with his amazing work ethic and attitude. Joe battled through some adversity early in the season but was able to showcase his snapping abilities and never relinquished that role once he earned it. His snapping was the consistent, driving force our special teams' units needed, improving operation time significantly. We will miss Joe moving forward as he is following his calling to be a nurse."
